Meeting with Place2Be

Last week, I met with Place2Be and discussed the mental health challenges children, teachers and parents are facing during this pandemic. To support those most in need, it is vital that emergency cash injections are followed by a plan for the future with long-term, sustainable funding for children’s mental health and adoption of holistic approaches, utilising creative methods. It was great to see that Place2Be have created digital services with practical advice which widen support outside school hours with practical advice to those needing immediate support. Their Mental Health Champions Foundation training programme – free to qualified teachers and school-based staff in the UK and aims to promote positive attitudes to mental health and well-being.
