Review proposals passed by conference

I am delighted that our proposals to devolve the rules for Scottish Labour leader were passed by Labour conference.

In my speech to conference I said I was deeply proud of the fact that we’d set up the Scottish Parliament and that moves to devolve the Labour Party were long overdue. Structures in themselves won’t win elections but our structures need to reflect our values and Scotland’s geography.

Conference approved reforms to how Labour is organised with new opportunities for Labour supporters to get involved and a bigger emphasis on the involvement of members in policy making. The next step will be a Special Conference on 29th October.
