I recently received a copy of a new brochure that is aiming to promote the Tollcross area of Edinburgh.
The brochure, which has been produced by the Council in association with the Tollcross Traders Association, aims to highlight Tollcross as a destination for people visiting the city.
Inside the brochure there is information on the area’s history as well as profiles and deals offered by local businesses that are members of the Traders Association. Alongside promoting these businesses, it is hoped that the brochure will inform other businesses of the Association’s work and encourage them to become involved.
Tollcross, like other areas of Edinburgh, offers a diverse mix of shops, restaurants, bars and other entertainment and I welcome this initiative to promote what the area has to offer. The recession has seen well established names disappearing across the city and there’s been quite a turnover in businesses so the Traders Association has my strong support in their ambitions to keep Tollcross an attractive place both to live in and do business in.
