As Convenor of the Cross Party Group on International Development, I wrote to the Scottish Government, the UK Government and the Consulate General of India to raise our concerns following our meeting on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy regarding the need for proper compensation for survivors and investment to clean up the affected area. I received a message from Mr I.P Lakra, Acting Consul General, to advise that he had forwarded my letter to the Indian authorities.
I have also written to the Chief Executive of the Glasgow Games 2014 about sponsorship and whether Dow would be allowed to tender. To view the response please click here.
